I chanced upon a really interesting design blog---all the way in Israel . Tchochkes was started by Shira Abel a few years ago,and it is now a collaborative venture by like minded ( or perhaps just collectively inspired) souls working together.
I had to google the meaning of the word Tchochkes and here it is :) Very interesting !! My Mom could be classified as a tchochkes person if there is any such term :)
I really like Shira's conversational style of writing and their posts are slightly off the beaten track. I loved the one below featuring Hasadna (the workshop) which is a store for recycled furniture.I had fun navigating the website as it was all in Hebrew !! It took me a long while to figure out what I was doing but it was worth it.
I love what they have done with these plastic spoons !!!!!
