I must admit, I don't read too many wedding magazines. But the bridal fever has definitely set in, here in the wedding capital of the world. Most of it is quite over the top, and we brace ourselves for a lot of noise and chaos over the next few months. Not to mention sleep deprivation, shopping nightmares and total loss of control on one's diet.
But then again, weddings are memorable in many ways. And not just for the two people getting married. Every once in a while, you also attend a wedding that is not just memorable and fun, but also designed by a professional. The wedding designer.
That is what my niece aspires to be...and today I found someone who is exceptionally inspiring. Rebecca Thuss. I landed on her website quite by chance, while browsing some interesting table settings (another obsession of mine) . I was not prepared for all that I found. Her 'creations' actually made me want to attend one of the weddings.
I have only just discovered her and needless to say ---am absoltuley amazed by her incredible work. Not just in wedding design, but photo styling and creativity.
Having been a part of the creative brigade that brings us Martha Stewart Weddings magazine, it is not surprising that her work elicited such a response from me. Made me wonder if she had ever worked with a client here in the sub-continent. It would be an unforgettable experience for both parties I daresay :)
But moving on from weddings , what I would really like to talk about here are her incredebile table settings and flower arrangements. I have often found that a decent effort by even more ordinary souls can completely transform a room.
Rebecca Thuss is of course, no ordinary soul !! I really loved the detailing and understated elegance in her work.
I also found that even in her party designs/ styling she leaves no aspect---from packaging to candy. Master of several crafts I would say
