Blogger Post of the Week - Framed Intaglios

I found this post on Things That Inspire  on framed intaglios. Firstly, I did not even know what an intaglio was :), so this post was educational.

Secondly, I love the way in which it has been profiled with all the beautiful pics as examples of how one can use framed intaglios in decor.

Although intaglios go all the way back to ancient Egypt, I find them to be a perfect addition in a contemporary setting as well.

While trying to understand the history of intaglios I came across this interesting article by Phillip Coppens on intaglios in Blythe,  near the Colorado river.
